Calgary Bridal Show
It’s the annual Calgary Bridal Show today. We’ll be there sharing a booth with Blaylock’s Mansion and the Nelson Chamber of Commerce. Our goal is to try and entice as many brides as possible to consider the Kootenay region of BC as a wedding destination. We went to the show last year and it was an eyeopener: 1,800 brides-to-be were there not to mention their moms, maids-of-honours, mothers of the groom… it’s huge! Our favourite quote from last year came from one woman who saw our photos of a wedding beach scene near Nelson. She said, “There’s sandy beaches in Nelson?! Why am I spending thousands to travel to Mexico?”
