MK: The big thing, though, was we hadn’t even met each other’s parents yet so we decided to keep the engagement a secret until we had a chance to tell them in person.
SM: We didn’t tell them for five months.
MK: Boy, were they surprised.
SM: He re-propsed at Christmas and gave me a ring a jeweller made from my great-grandfather’s cufflinks and my grandfather’s white gold ring. It’s beautiful.
MK: Definitely better than the bacon and baileys.
