Last July, Calgarians Katrina Plamondon and Peter Truch invited 230 of their closest friends and family to the city of Nelson in the West Kootenays to celebrate their wedding. Throughout their planning process they insisted on being as environmentally friendly as possible. KB sits down with the couple for an in-depth Q&A about the process.
Planning a destination wedding can be a daunting task at the best of times. Especially with 200 guests! Why did you decide to make a conscious effort to be environmentally responsible?
We wanted an event that fit with our values of being environmentally and socially conscious in our lives. We immediately recognized the opportunity for us to share these values with our family and friends through our wedding.
